Opinion: Mouri-Kudo and Miralles Might Win First Round of Presidential Election

As the day of the First Round of the Executive Elections is coming closer and closer each day, particularly the Presidential Election that will be held on February 5th, there has been much speculation on who will be the winner or winners of the First Round. Although, Leagioan Polls for multi-candidate races have a huge margin of error to them, they do show who is not going to the Second Round of the Presidential Race of this year. There is much certainty that Sharp, Barkle, and Gauthier are going to not make it to the Second Round as those candidates have been attacking their own bases, where they should be focusing on Mouri-Kudo of the Progressives and Miralles of the Free Liberalists. Palvini of the LUTF was never going to have a chance in the first placewith his history of racist rhetoric as that really never goes well with many Leagioan voters outside of Diamond Heart.

Mouri-Kudo and Miralles have both been not going on the aggressive on any candidates at all in this campaign, where people cannot access both of them for acting like foreign politicians that sling mud at each other for just a few votes. The result of this has been showing for the past few days in the polls, where the two candidates mentioned have been climbing up to the top with Mouri-Kudo reaching the 45% percentage in the polls. The reason why Mouri-Kudo looks to be favored might be simple, which is she has been advocating herself to run not as a politician of the Progressives but for the whole Commonwealth which seems to be missing from a majority of the candidates for this race.

However, it might just be more than that, Mouri-Kudo has been also advocating support for Cannabis Legalization in the Commonwealth which has been supported by many Liberal and Conservative voters that have starting to support such a concept each year. Another trait that has Mouri-Kudo gaining support in the polls and might come in First place in the first round with most likely Miralles as well would be that she has been adovcating for a comprehensive green economy plan that has many traits from Commissioner Juncker's European New Green Deal, which has been recieving support from many of the people that voted for the Commissioner in the last EU elections. However, if Mouri-Kudo does win the election especially if she recieves 50% of the vote (which would just elimante the need for a second round and make her President), then she will become the first woman (and asian-family immigrant born) President of the Commonwealth of Leagio and this might be seen as a postive event by the many nations of the European Union. However, only time will tell for sure on what this election season will bring for the Commonwealth.

Introducing Energy Labels: A new way to be 'Energetically Efficient'

    alt text

Reaching the 'Energy Efficiency' target is one of the main objectives of the Green Deal. The EU energy label pretends to be – together with minimum “ecodesign” requirements - a success story that will be key in boosting the energy efficiency of everyday electric appliances like lighting, heating, fridges, freezers and televisions, but also products like fuel boilers, tyres, motors, transformers, converters, fans, vacuums, heaters and air conditioners. Putting energy efficiency first is a key objective of the EU, as energy savings are the easiest way of saving money for customers and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions along with the Green Deal requirements. The EU has set binding targets of reducing our energy consumption through improvements in energy efficiency by 2030 by at least 32.5%, relative to a ‘business as usual’ scenario.

The labels will go from A (the best energy efficient product) to G (the worst energy efficient product). These are the new projected labels:

Tyre energy labels will provide a clear and common classification of tyres performance for rolling resistance, braking on wet surfaces and external noise. The labels will help consumers make informed decisions when they are buying tyres as they will easily set their priority choice based on the 3 parameters. At the same time, the labels will drive manufacturers to innovate to make their tyres appear in the top classes by being more fuel efficient, safer and quieter. In addition to the standard label, there will be also options for including (next to the noise icon) an icon relating to grip in icy conditions and/or severe snow conditions. This gives consumers 4 label options in total. Tyres suitable for severe snow conditions bear the “3 peaks and snow” or “alpine” symbol that is also present on the sidewall of such tyres. Nordic winter tyres for use on iced surfaces will feature a new symbol that represents an ice stalagmite. Standardised tests are used to assess the performance of tyres in all the 5 parameters indicated in the label. National authorities may check the veracity of the performance levels claimed. The QR code, read with a smartphone or other suitable reader, is intended to provide additional information from a European Commission database.

    New Tyres' Energy Labels

The European Green Deal pretends to be the lifeboat Europe needs to stop the Climate Change, making our region responsible towards one of the main problems in our lifes. Together, united as one region like in many other times, will be able to push this forward and have the continent we all deserve.

The Queen smiled and proceeded to the photo op.

The Queen read the documents and was fascinated with them as she proceeded. "I must say that the view of my government's of yours is very greeted because your leadership offers hope to Inimicus and the whole Union as we have seen your positions on crucial decisions. People may percive you as agressive, because for your internal political issues and turns of speech which are percieved as means to your popularity, I repeat, it’s not my job to judge or to have a say in what the Prime Minister and his Foreign Office brief us; because sometimes a leader needs to lead. I percieve you as a man with steady leadership. And your Government an excellent ally." Said The Queen as she proeceeded. "And what's your personal and national discourse on Montenbourg?"
